The Artist at Work
This image was created for the cover of my grandfather's collection of paintings of the Negev desert in Israel, a book that I designed. You can see more from inside the book here.
My grandfather gave me several images to use for the cover, but none of them seemed quite right. None of them had been shot with the intention of being a cover, they were mostly candid shots of the artist in his studio. Rather than go through a new photoshoot, I chose the elements I liked from different existing shots and combined them seamlessly into a new image that I could use for the cover of the book.
